Year 3 - Stories in the Park

The children in Year 3 walked down to Nuttall Park to celebrate Roald Dahl Day. There were lots of parent helpers, and it was really enjoyable. The children searced the park and found plenty of conkers. They sat down and enjoyed a lovely story time together too.Mrs. Parker said, "Today was fantastic, the children were excited and loved sharing the stories with the adult helpers. We can't wait for the next one!"

Harvest Assembly & Roald Dahl Day

Reverend Barnshaw visited school and led our Harvest Assembly. He helped the children to understand how much food is wasted and that it is so important to share and 'be fair' to one another. The children sang beautifully and then shared bread and apples at the end of the assembly. The Year 6 children were setting a really good example to the rest of the children by leading this sharing opportunity. The children were also dressed as their favourite characters from Roald Dahl books; we had several Oopa Loompas, Willy Wonka's, a BFG, George and his marvellous medicine, a few Mr. Fox's who were of course FANTASTIC. Janet in the kitchen even put on a special Roald Dahl menu which included; Stinkin Snozcumber Sausage and Matilda's Marvellous Pasta. Everyone had a really enjoyable day.
