27th February 2015 Stars of the Week

Well done to our stars of the week for this week.

Key Stage 1 trip to Skipton Castle

The children in Year 1 and Year 2 visited Skipton Castle as part of their studies.

It was a very exciting day and the children learnt lots.

Sarah Murphy (Year 1 child) said, "I enjoyed going in the dungeon bext. It was so dark, I couldn't even see my hand; and I walked into the wall!"

Miss. Burke (Year 1 teacher) said, "The trip was fantastic; the children were able to see and feel what life was like in a castle. It really brought their learning to life."

After the trip the children have produced some superb work, and these trips really do enhance the learning.

CD Recording Day

The children at Peel Brow School were very excited to spend the day recording their own CD. The choir and several classes participated and were led by the Year 2 teacher and choir master Miss.Burke. She said, "What a great experience for the children. They were so professional - like pop starts in the making. Watch this space!" Miss.Wight who worked with the children in Y3, 4, 5, and 6 also said that, "It was an enjoyable and exciting experience for all the children."
