In rather blustery conditions the children were given a 3m by 3m plot of land and had to use different methods to 'charm' the works to the surface.
There were many interesting techniques such as jumping up and down, banging the grass with sticks, playing the surface like bongo jumps and even singing to the worms!
Mr. Mellor said it was lots of fun and the children had a great time working together to devise interesting ways to charm the worms!
What a great time we had - never mind the wind and rain !
ReplyDeleteReception even counted each classes worm collection - they measured the worms to see which class had found the longest worm - of course all worms were returned to the garden - they may be wise to our "charms" next time !
